We're hosting an artist reception for Amy on Thursday, September 11th from 6 to 8pm. Have a pint, talk to Amy about her art, and purchase your own local art!
Amy's art will be displayed and available for purchase in our Taproom from Monday, September 8 until Sunday, October 12.
About the Artist:
Amy Kollar Anderson creates surreal narrative paintings inspired by natural forms, the decorative arts and her love of animals. Her work has been shown internationally and featured in the publication "Imagine the Imagination: New Visions of Surrealism." Anderson was awarded three of the ReImagining Works commissions for the Dayton Metro Library in 2014-17, a commission for the Miami Valley Hospital and the Woodbourne Centerville Library in 2018 and a Culture Works MCACD
Artist Opportunity Grant in 2018 & 2020.
She received her B.F.A. from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Master of Humanities with a focus in Fine Arts from Wright State University.
Amy Kollar Anderson lives with her husband and their four cats in the birthplace of aviation, Dayton, Ohio. Until recently, she was the Gallery Coordinator for the Rosewood Gallery, but left that position to pursue her art career full-time.

Locals’ Night
September means it's time for another Saturday Locals' Night! Join your neighbors at the Barrel Room on September 13 from 5 to 9PM.
The Family Spoon is rolling in for dinner, and we're giving you all a sneak peek at our autumn cocktail menu! We'll also have the usual list of our craft beer, handpicked wines, and non-alcoholic options available throughout the evening. See you there, friends.

Oktoberfest Party!
Oans, zwoa, drei, g’suffa: the party of the year is here! Oktoberfest returns to the Barrel Room Saturday, August 30th, from 12 to 6PM: this time bigger and better than ever.
We’re taking the party outside into our parking lot! We’ll be pouring beer outside all day from our pour trailer, as well as indoors at the bar, and we’ll have specialty build-your-own radlers and shandies available for imbibing. Enjoy the sunshine, have a pint (or a few), and celebrate Oktoberfest in the Springs.
We’ll be here rain or shine, with a tent ready at the pour trailer in case of any incoming weather. And don’t forget those dirndls, lederhosen, and sausage tossing skills! Everyone's encouraged to dress in their most Oktober-festive attire, and we'll have our traditional slate of games to keep this Oktoberfest party rolling. Our own Elliot Cromer will be master of ceremonies for the day's events, and A Cut Above and Dobo’s Delights will be joining us with eats.
And, of course, don’t forget the beer: Festbier Pale German Lager and Oktoberfest Märzen will be flowing all night long.

Hey there, neighbors! Locals' Nights pops back up at the Barrel Room on Friday, August 8 from 5 to 9PM.
Galactic Flats will be serving food, and our summer beer, wine, and cocktail menu will be available throughout the event! Come hang out with us and celebrate spending time with your village.

We're hosting a reception for Dorian on Thursday, July 31st from 6 to 8pm. Talk to Dorian about her work, have a pint, and purchase your own piece to take home!
Dorian's art will be displayed and available for purchase in our Taproom from Monday, July 28 until Sunday, September 7.
About the Artist:
Dorian is a twenty-one-year-old artist from Yellow Springs/Dayton, Ohio. She is a senior Art and Sociology/Anthropology major at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. Over the past five years, she has primarily worked with linoleum printmaking, sewing/fiber art, and collage. Dorian’s work is inspired by folk art, religious iconography, childhood and memory, and the Dayton landscape.

Tiki Night at the Barrel Room
Let's bring some tropical vibes to the village! We're hosting a Tiki cocktail night at the Barrel Room on Saturday, July 26 from 5 to 10PM.
We've got a full menu of fruity, rum-forward drinks on special, which we'll be revealing very soon! Sushi Hikari will also be joining us to serve up fresh eats for dinner.
All are welcome to attend and enjoy summer in our space. The patio will be open, we'll also have our full draft list available, and we encourage fun attire (as colorful as possible, truly).
Locals' Night

Salsa Brava is pulling through to serve dinner throughout the event. And, as always, we'll have our full menu of beer, wine, and seasonal cocktails available! All are welcome to come hang out and spend a Saturday evening with the neighborhood.
Bouquets + Brews | DIY Bouquets with Butter Flower Farm
Let your DIY skills bloom! Join us and Butter Flower Farm at the Barrel Room on Saturday, July 12, from 2-5PM, and learn how to build your own fresh flower bouquet!
You’ll learn the basics of creating a bouquet: prepping stems, choosing a color palette, picking focal flowers, adding texture, and more. This event is ages 10+, as we'll be using sharp shears to trim our blooms. Ticket price includes a beverage of your choosing and snacks.

Welcome Emily and Jeremy Combs' Art + Ales installation to our Taproom!
We'll be hosting an artist reception for Emily and Jeremy on Thursday, February 20th from 6 to 8pm. Have a drink with the artists and purchase your own local art!
Their work will be displayed and for sale from Monday, February 17 until Sunday, March 30th.

"Emily and Jeremy Combs are a married art duo based in Springfield, Ohio. Together they have crisscrossed the nation doing outdoor art festivals, gathering inspiration for their art along the way. Their current body of work is titled “Wood Mosaics” and is made entirely using hand tools. Wood is cut using a jigsaw, then carved, burned, sanded and stained. The wood pieces are assembled together like a puzzle or mosaic. Emily and Jeremy hope that “Wood Mosaics” inspires others to seek adventure and to never stop exploring."
