MIXED FERMENTATION SPACE
As a production space, the Barrel Room builds on all of the creativity that is embodied by our production team. The experimental beers produced at the Barrel Room utilize mixed yeast cultures and bacteria for a process called mixed fermentation. The result: a wide range of exciting flavors.
As our namesake suggests, the barrels lining the walls of the Barrel Room actively age beer. This aging process imparts characteristics of the wood to the beer, which evolve over time and result in one-of-a-kind brews. Our mixed-fermentation project live in our two large oak foeders, which you’ll see in the venue during your visit. When you sip on an aged beer from Yellow Springs Brewery, be sure to raise a glass to the Barrel Room!
PARTY with us at the barrel room!
