Clintonville - General Manager
Job Summary:
Work in alignment with the vision, mission, and core values of Yellow Springs Brewery to lead all Clintonville staff and operations. Ensures that Shift Leaders, kitchen staff, and bartenders have everything they need to execute consistent, excellent customer service while striving to build our desired culture among the Clintonville staff. Provides cohesive communication with the taproom staff, kitchen staff, and other departmental managers. Oversees all day-to-day activities of the taproom and kitchen while setting the ideal example as the consummate host of the brewery in Columbus. Report to C.O.O.
General Accountabilities:
• Coordinate all taproom and kitchen activities and execute accordingly
• Forecast daily flow of customers and schedule staff accordingly
• Train, supervise, and motivate staff during taproom open hours
• Find ways to bring more customers to the taproom and strive to keep improving the customer experience
• Hiring/firing taproom and kitchen staff employees
• Oversee the utilization of the taproom point of sale system
• Work with vendors and staff members to ensure that all taproom and kitchen inventory items are properly stocked and available
• Consistently engage with and evaluate customer experience
• Ensure taproom is cleaned and prepped for customers, indoors and outdoors
• Maintain the building along with taproom and kitchen equipment
• Oversee Daily Sales Reports and cash handling
• Communicate with brewery staff about taproom operations including product quality, inventory issues, marketing opportunities, and events.
• Attend regular meetings with C.O.O. and other brewery staff
• Provide support to taproom and kitchen staff as needed
• Help provide beer education to taproom staff
• Work with C.O.O. to ensure profitable taproom/kitchen operations
• Champion a consistent and excellent customer experience
• Perform other duties as assigned by C.O.O.
Job Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent, must be 21 years of age
• Two to four years of service industry management experience. Craft beer experience and passion a plus
• Cicerone Certification a plus but not required upon hire

Hours Required:
• Full time salary position
• At least 40 hours required between time working in the taproom, in the kitchen, and administrative work
• Weekends required and evenings as necessary
